Earlier today, the Supreme Court announced their decision on the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The court upheld the law, and ruled the Affordable Care Act constitutional. The ruling will have an impact on all areas of health care, including physical therapy.

Paul Rockar, Jr, PT, DPT, MS, president of the American Physical Therapy Association,  issued a statement in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act. He points out that, “While the politics of health care reform are complicated, the priorities and goals of APTA are not. We stand, as always, committed to advocate for a health care system that addresses the aforementioned fundamental, patient-centered issues of coverage, access, quality, and costs.  Read his full statement here.
