Interactive gaming systems have been shown to offer rehabilitative benefits to patients. This week’s experts, Spencer Hutchins, Co-Founder and CEO and Anang Chokshi, Lead PT of Reflexion Health, Inc., recently took a moment to speak with us at APTA CSM. They shared details about how their software works with Microsoft’s Kinect system to help patients correctly complete prescribed exercise and offer physical therapists a tool for tracking and measuring a patient’s progress.

The prescription-based software uses a camera with the Microsoft Kinect system so the clinician can actually see patients doing their exercises at home.  The data collected gives physical therapists some feedback and information to help physical therapists provide additional guidance and help to patients.
