Does The State Chapter Really Work For Me?

As the 80/20 rule goes, 20% of the members of any organization do 80% of the work.  That certainly is true at the state level of the American Physical Therapy Association in Indiana.  A small goup of dedicated Physical Therapists work hard each year to promote and advance the causes necessary to insure the wellbeing of all physical therapists.  The Medicare Salary Cap is a great example of how important the efforts of the association are to protecting job security for therapists working every day to make a living.  Listen and decide if you could give a few hours a month to help your profession and contribute towards turning 20% into a larger number.

President Jerry Smith

In this week’s episode, Jeff Worrell talks to Indiana Chapter President Jerry Smith and Vice President Emily Slaven about their agenda for this year.  They make a strong case about why all practicing therapists should belong to the association.   The discussion ranges from an update about direct access to the turf battle with Chiropractors about manipulation.
